Privacy Policy

RyannPlan helps groups plan trips, share costs and settle up. This page explains what information RyannPlan stores, why, who can see it, and how to have it deleted.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Trip information you add: trips, destinations, dates, itinerary activities, budgets, expenses, receipts you upload and the people you split costs with.
- Payment details you choose to share: the bank name, account holder, account number and payment QR code you enter on your Payment Profile, and payment proof images you upload.
- Travel preferences: dietary needs, trip pace and interests you set on your profile.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your trips, calculate who owes whom, and let members verify payments.
- To generate AI trip recommendations and read receipts you scan. For these features, trip details (destination, dates, budget, planned activities), the group's travel preferences and receipt images are sent to Google's Gemini AI service.
- To send emails you trigger, such as trip invitations, through our email provider.
We do not sell your information and do not use it for advertising.
Who can see your information
- Members of the same trip see that trip's details, group expenses, balances and the names and photos of other members.
- Personal expenses you record are visible only to you.
- Your payment details are shown to trip members who need to pay you.
- RyannPlan administrators can access account and trip data to operate the service, handle reports and keep it secure. Administrator actions are logged.
Google user data
If you sign in with Google, RyannPlan requests only your name, email address and profile picture, and uses them solely to create and display your account. RyannPlan's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored with Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage). The app is served by Cloudflare. AI features use Google Gemini, and emails are sent through Resend. These providers process data on our behalf to run the service.
Keeping or deleting your data
Your data is kept while your account exists. You can edit or delete your trips and expenses at any time. To delete your account and the data linked to it, email us at the address below and we will do so within 30 days. Shared trip records other members still rely on (for example, an expense they paid that included you) may be kept with your name removed.
